Art books for you…
Or is that art books about you… Here is a great device to assist you in creating a slick profile. Your own book, a full on coffee table book, about you and or your Art.
It’s easy, download some software, create the book, upload it and start selling it online, point your friends to it, your art consultant, your agent etc… and let them buy like crazy, start giving them away to collectors and more.
Here’s one I created earlier… and here’s the link.
Here’s one by Amanda Van Gils, thought you might like to check that out too, but also, lets not forget Kaye Green’s Art Books, hand made gems, very different software used….

This site is provided as a service to the Visual Arts Community, I put in HEAPS of hours for free, but to assist in the hosting fees can you assist with a donation to the cause? If I get enough I will be able to extend the service to include more. Thanks in advance.

Yes it really is a great thing to be able to create your own book in whatever numbers you want. I hope that in future we’ll be able to set up whole book previews for the general public (not just first 15 pages)
Perhaps they are following a formula here, I’m not sure but do other book sites do that, e.g. amazon?
I guess with Art Books, people might tend to say oh I’ve seen that now, hmm not sure If I want to keep it, voom move on, but if they only see a few pages it can act as a teaser…
Hey the Blurb site is way cool, I can see the benefits of this really clearly. Make art, make book, look BIG!
You’re right Steve I think Amazon do that too but when I visit a book store I like to flick through the whole book before I decide to purchase and I’d like to be able to do the same online. Not for text based books but for images definitely, and looking at images on a screen versus in a book is quite different, especially for artists where you can look at the images on their website anyway.
