Biram Stands out…

At Brunswick St Gallery in Fitzroy at the moment (July 09) Peter Biram has a semi retrospective of his work, from works on paper to canvases with oil paint and landscape themes.

Fairly literal (subjects) the viewer can spend some time delving deeper but hey just soak up the colour guys and the way he handles paint.

Here are a few to check out. But hold on to your credit cards folks, these do not come easy, the top end is at 10k but for luscious colour and a bold approach Peter has a midas touch.

Yes these ceramics with Chris Myers are a collaboration, darn nice too.

I do admire the larger images, the works on paper don’t “grunt” loudly enough for me, the images are screaming to be bigger. Some of Chris Myers Ceramics can be seen in the foreground, more great colours!

I can see a progression from the earlier works on paper which is good, but not sure if others will pick it up.

Peter, your work looks amazing at BSG, I’m sorry to have missed this exhibition!! Chris Myers work looks very impressive too, I love the shapes and earthy colour tones. They really compliment each other beautifully. Anyway, congratulations! I hope the show was a real success. Visually it looks absolutely brilliant! Kez
