Regionalis, six artists on the environment…
“A group exhibition of more than just paint and materials in 2 & 3D, Regionalis is formed in part out of “Black Saturday” experiences, and also from lifetimes of being part of the Australian environment.
The origin of the exhibition lies in the shared experiences of six regional Victorian Artists, its maturation reflects the diversity of the Artists personal perspectives as well as their rigorous introspection and exploration of contemporary environmental issues.
Bold and subtle images directly and symbolically explore notions about the environment on a range of levels, while personal agendas are explored, pushed, reworked and reconceptualized.
Join us as we celebrate the culmination of months of work, years of personal investigation and examination and bring together contrasting people with similar intent, to present their views on the environment.” From the exhibition invite.
