New gallery…
I have just come across a new listing for a new gallery right on my doorstep in our “arts precinct”… hmm lets see what this brings. No site, as yet, just a listing… will do a drive by and let you know what I find!
OXIDE CONTEMPORARY ARTS
Elizabeth Towers – elements
To coincide with the opening of the new gallery Oxide Contemporary Arts, is an exhibition of oil paintings by Elizabeth Towers entitled elements. Elizabeth uses layers of transparent glazes to produce rich glowing colours, reflecting the artist’s attitude to life. As we delve below the surface we find layer upon layer interwoven by our unique responses, experiences and experiments with life. Elizabeth is a resident of the Bellarine and has participated in many group exhibitions including the recent Geelong Regional Artists Exhibition at the Gordon Gallery and earlier this year at the Brunswick Street Gallery in Melbourne. She has held two solo exhibitions. Several of her prints are in the Gordon Tafe Permanent Art Collection.
