Student guide
Dear student, the Visual Arts is a very challenging area with so many conflicting ideas strategies and options, on approaches to art, techniques, making a career from art and so on, the list is endless.
As you can read in the About section I put this together to assist students and teachers because I had a hard time coming to terms with a range of things as an artist, teacher and a student.
You will find interviews, strategies and techniques to give you the edge, help you through challenging creative moments and hopefully a few chunks of inspiration to boot.
- Check out the interviews with artists, glance through, and see which images you “connect” with then do some reading about them.
- Note the variety of exhibitions which get mentioned, have you been to see a contemporary art show yet? It’s well worth it!
- Visit the “sister site” artstuff.net.au and check out the info over there. (lots of creativity boosters and so on.)
- Use the site as a source of inspiration, have your journal or art diary handy to jot down points of interest to you.
Enjoy, Steve Gray
